I’m asking anyone who would like to support my ride to donate funds to the wonderful non-profit Doctors Without Borders. No donation is too small to help.

I want to stand up for this non-profit because I admire their work.

As I’ve travelled the world, I’ve crossed paths with these doctors and nurses as they donate their time and energy to help people devastated by poverty, war, natural disasters and other humanitarian emergencies. I saw them at work in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010; in Thailand after the 2004 tsunami; and in Guatemala after the 2011 floods. There they were in unimaginably difficult conditions — with their tents, instruments and medical supplies — operating, bandaging, inoculating and bringing help and hope to those with nowhere else to turn.
