The gear

On a trip like this, you have to plan out every ounce and square inch of material you take with you. Today’s high-tech gear makes motorcycling over long distances and hostile environments easier than it was 30 years ago, but it’s essential to have the equipment you need.

Following is a list of every single thing I’ll be taking with me. I’ve found that a lot of people are interested in this – especially women (!) — who are also curious about where I put everything. To see how I stash all this gear, click here.
